Doug Knight: Low-Visionary

Welcome to CROSS EYE COMICS and the home of Douglas Knight's online portfolio.

Since 2019, Doug has been creating and self publishing his comic books under the publication CROSS EYE COMICS.  His fifteen year career as a professional tattoo artist has allowed him to develope a unique and dynamic style that slams as much visual information into every expression he creates!

In 1994, at the age of 6.  Doug was diagnosed with a brain tumour that would render him legally blind.  His life has been anything but "run of the mill" and his approach to creating art is brought forward through an extraordinary and unique perspective.  in 2024 He received a $21,000 grant from the Ontario Arts Council for Project Circulation and was able to travel his artwork extensively across the United States and Canada.

Doug has aspirations to take his talent for sequential art to major publishers.

Accessibility Consulting

With over twenty years of professional arts practicing that ranges from tattooing, digital design to fine art production. I am proud to apply my gained experience as a person with a disability to assist companies in assessing ways with which they can make their products more universally acceptable for everyone!

Working with companies like Tom's Studio (UK), Artristic Easels (AUS) and OLO Markers (USA). I have been able to conduct in depth and deeply considerate case studies that contributed to creating product consideration.
